epic/love

With the posting of Part Eight, Chapter One of the Eiji Daitokai Epic is finished.

Both the introduction of Minsuk Im and the descriptions of her interactions with Eiji Daitokai caught me off guard. There’s what feels like a shift in genre here, and I am tempted to doubt the label of “Epic.” Is this an accurate translation of the original title of the work, I wonder, or is “Epic” here something my predecessor appended on his/her own? Any way, I’ll read on.

If they’ve really given me everything they have, then the source material for this translation should be here somewhere. I haven’t seen it yet, but there’s plenty left to look through.

There is a new Quick Reference section that lists persons and places that have appeared in the text for quick and easy reference. I was originally doing this on paper for my own benefit, but it quickly occurred to me that it would be both helpful to anyone following the project and consistent with the “Show your work,” spirit of it to share these lists online.

Let’s see… anything else?

More later, then.
